Small Cinema's

Me and Suzette are big fans of this movie house, it's called Hello Hans Movie House and for those who don't know what a movie house is, it is essentially a small cinema where you can pick a movie from their vast collection. All movies are original and they get the latest movies as well, if you weren't able to watch Cinderella in the cinema, they will have it as soon as it releases on dvd. They are original and a lot cheaper than the cinema. Sure, it will never beat a cinema but if you would like to watch a bit of an older movie and a place where you can make the choice and hang out with friends, this will make it a pretty great option. The rates are cheap and being here will create a nice and fun environment to be in with your friends. Just make sure that you pick the right movie for your group. But in general, they have pretty fun movies. We personally like to watch the Korean movies more than the English movies, some are absolutely hysterical!

Inside the Movie House, they have about 10 - 15 indivudal rooms that can occupy different numbers of people, the places are clean, and some rooms are a bit more comfortable than others in terms of furniture but they all seem to be rocking the leather sofa's. Furhtermore, the walls are not completely sound proof. Meaning that if a group of friends in another room are watching a horror movie and they scream, you willl hear it. Which is actually quite fun sometimes. Inside the shop they sell microwavable popcorn, drinks, ice cream, chips, cup noodles and pretty much everything you need to enjoy a movie, is essentially here. The people that work here are great. Especially my friend Ram, he will take care of you, he can help you with movies if you don't know what to watch, i think he has seen all the movies in that place already. He can really help you find the movie for you. They also keep tabs on the movies people have watched the most and keep a top 10 list of best movies for each category. So if you would like to watch a Korean movie and you have no idea where to start, they have a list that can help you. We have plenty of favorite Korean movies. My personal favorite is "New World" which is a Korean Organized Crime/Gangster Movie. Which, if you know me, are my favorite types of movies. I am a fan of Al Pacino and Robert De Niro movies, so obviously my favorite movies are The Godfather, Goodfellas, Casino and Scarface. For me, that's the gangster quartet. Other Korean movies that are great are: The Plan Man, Miracle in Cell Number 7, Two Faces of My Girlfriend, 200 Pound Beauty, Spellbound and plenty more.

This was our date night watching a Korean Movie after we had a Korean dinner, that blog will follow soon. So the screen is pretty large, and the sound is good as well. I got nothing to complain, i enjoy being here.

Hans Movie House also has loyalty cards, which are great because there are always freebies after you have watched a certain number of movies, you can either get 50% off, free popcorn or a free movie. Now, don't look at my card because i have actually received the coveted VIP membership card! There are only a few people that have them! You get the VIP membership card after completing i believe, three regular cards. So you need to watch 60 movies in total and then you can achieve VIP. The card gives two extra slots for a free movie and more slots for free popcorn! So get that loyalty card, they are free and go watch a movie!

For the price breakdown of watching a movie this is what it looks like:

Regular: 300 pesos which is good for 2 people per movie.

Students: 200 pesos which is good for 2 people per movie.

Any person after that in your party is an additional 50 pesos.

On the map you can see CJRS Point Building, this is the corner building, walk past the restaurant until you see a little outdoor restaurant. Go inside the building and to the second floor, this is where you will find the Movie House.
